Our Services
Our office is proud to offer the following services to our patients:
– Fully comprehensive dental cleanings and exams
Beginning with the first tooth or the first birthday (whichever comes first), the first dental visit is an important one. Our team specializes in making your child feel comfortable by demonstrating and explaining in kid friendly terms what to expect at their first visit. Your child can then lay back, relax, and watch and listen to our large overhead TVs as they have their teeth cleaned. Dr. Luce or Dr. Scheps will then complete a thorough exam, focusing not just on cavities, but on the development of the teeth and jaws, the presence of spacing, crowding, tongue- or lip-ties, and many other things that often go overlooked.
– Fillings, Crowns, Sealants
We offer a variety of options when it comes to fillings and crowns. We have several different types of white filling materials that match the teeth and provide a seal. For teeth that have larger cavities, we offer silver (stainless steel) crowns for back teeth and the more esthetic white (zirconia) for front and back teeth. After our thorough exam, Dr. Luce or Dr. Scheps will discuss the options with you.
– Infant Exams
It’s important to establish your child’s dental home early. In doing so, we have the ability to focus on prevention of cavities rather than the treatment of them, and your child learns from an early age that the dentist is fun! For our infants, we have an inviting, calming and private “Baby and Me” room to help you feel at home.
– Tongue- and lip-tie releases
Nursing should be easy, comfortable and rewarding for you and your baby! If you feel that your child is not latching properly, please schedule a no-charge consultation with Dr. Scheps. Besides being a pediatric dental office, our location is also home to the Tongue-Tie Center of St. Pete. Dr. Scheps has over 10 years of experience with releasing lip and tongue ties, and he will complete a full evaluation to better understand you and your child. If a tongue or lip release is indicated, he will take the time to walk you through the entire process, from how to get ready for the procedure, to what to expect, and then what to do after the release is completed using the state of the art, standard of care, CO2 laser from LightScalpel.
